Todd the Turtle
Personality: Curious, Sweet, Cheerful, Gullible, Naive, Determined
Nature: Friendly
Motivation: Todd is very lonely and wants to make friends
Backstory: Turtles are known to be solitary creatures, they spend most of their lives alone. But Todd is different, Todd has always wanted to make friends. He has spent most of his life travelling around, always trying to be friendly. But sometimes, other creatures aren’t friendly back and it really gets his spirits down and he starts to feel alone in the world. But he keeps going, determined to eventually make a friend.
Cran the Crab
Personality: Diligent, Timid, Easygoing, Supportive
Nature: Shy
Motivation: Is travelling the world looking for a place to call home.
Backstory: Cran spends most of her days searching for the perfect nook or rock to call home. She searches the sea floor, hoping to find the perfect home someday, but really she just loves to travel. Her small little legs can only carry her so far though, and she wishes she could travel farther in one day.
Coop the Soup Can
Personality: Quiet, Distant, Aloof
Nature: Spiritless
Motivation: None, life is meaningless.
Backstory: Coop is an unfortunate craft project reject, aimlessly floating about in the ocean when it was thrown overboard on a cruise ship after an ages 5 and up activity.
Environment Concepts
Kelp Forest
The setting of this story will take place in the ocean in a kelp forest, the atmosphere of the underwater jungle will be mysterious, but bright. The color scheme will be of a mix of greens and blues. We are going to use a simplistic and stylized design to create the kelp as well as the other features like the sand and the rocks scattered around that the kelp attaches to. Everything will be underwater so the surrounding area will all be blue. We are going to create an environment that is cohesive and matches well with our character designs.
